The AWARE Foundation Inc. is a national nonprofit organization. The founders, deputies and members of The AWARE Foundation, Inc., will strive to create a culture whereby we work tirelessly for the silent voices of the missing, endangered and murdered.

Victim/Witness Assistance Program
The Spotsylvania Victim/Witness Assistance Program established in 1996 to assist crime victims and witnesses through the judicial process. The process of our program is to ensure that victims and witnesses receive fair and compassionate treatment while participating in the court system. Our program is funded both through the County and through a grant provided by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. The Victim/Witness Assistance Program’s office is located in the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney at the Spotsylvania Judicial Center.​​

Fraud
Fraud victims over 50, account for over 57% of all frauds and many members of the community might have been or will be affected by Elder fraud.​​

Domestic Violence
Empowerhouse is a non-profit organization providing confidential domestic violence assistance in the city of Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline. These services include a free and confidential 24-hour hotline, a temporary emergency shelter, information, referrals, and advocacy.
Empowerhouse is an accredited Virginia domestic violence program funded by state and federal grants, localities in planning district 16 (to include Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Caroline), Rappahannock United Way, donations, and fundraising events.

Established in 2002 and employs hundreds of thousands people to secure the nations from threats we may face. They combine 22 different federal departments and agencies into a unified Cabinet agency.

National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is a private, non-profit 501 corporations who mission is to help find missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation, and prevent child victimization. NCMEC works with families, victims, private industry, law enforcement, and the public to assist with preventing child abductions, recovering missing children, and providing services to deter and combat child sexual exploitation.

The Sex Offender and Crimes against Minors Registry program is statutorily provided through Chapter 9, of Title 9.1 of the Code of Virginia.
